Wheeler County Foundation To Hold Fourth Annual Awards Presentation

The Wheeler County Foundation will be awarding grants to Wheeler County projects on Tuesday, July 15th, 2008, at the Wheeler County Fairgrounds in Bartlett. Everyone is invited to attend this fourth annual affair and enjoy refreshments with hors d'oeuvres beginning at 8:00 p.m.

The family of Raymond and Katherine Pelster has given a generous gift of $7,500 to the Wheeler County Community Foundation designated to the Wheeler County Ag Society fund for its kitchen project. Other money for this project has come into the foundation since the initial donation.

The Wheeler County Rural Fire District ­ the Bartlett and Ericson Departments will be receiving grant money to help with their projects.

Scholarship recipients will be recognized during the evening. Students will receive their scholarship money upon registration at their colleges this fall.

The Nebraska Community Foundation works with donors and communities throughout Nebraska to help residents and former residents give charitable donations to their hometowns. It serves community, organizations and donor-advised funds operating in 163 communities in 73 counties.

The Wheeler County Community Foundation invites everyone involved in Wheeler County to attend this event on July 15th, at the Wheeler County Fairgrounds in Bartlett.
