Nebraska Treasures Theme For 2008 Rodeo Parade
In celebration of "National Tourism Week", May 10th 18th
the Burwell Chamber of Commerce announced the 2008 Nebraska's Big Rodeo
Parade theme. The theme for the 87th Nebraska's Big Rodeo Parade will
be "Nebraska Treasures". The Burwell Chamber of Commerce conducted
a contest among the Burwell elementary-aged children for this year's theme.
Blake Mann, the daughter of Garrett and Linda Mann was the author and winner
of this years contest.
The date of this year's parade is set for Saturday, July 26th. The Burwell Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to this years entries. The annual parade is an opportunity for families, businesses, churches and local organizations to show their spirit for the Burwell community.
Currently the Burwell Chamber of Commerce is planning this year's parade and seeking volunteers to assist with the event. Any individual, business or organizations willing to help with this year's event is encouraged to contact the chamber office at 308.346.5210.
